2022 Cotton Farm TourPresented by the Sustainable Cotton Project (SCP), California College of the Arts (CCA) with funding from Cotton IncorporatedJoin us on Saturday, October 29, 2022 for a one-day Cotton Farm Tour through the San Joaquin Valley to gain a behind-the-scenes look at the many sides of cotton production. You’ll meet the farmers, see cotton being harvested and learn about Cleaner Cotton™. You’ll visit the San Luis National Wildlife Refuge to see the wetlands, native grasslands and wildlife that thrive adjacent to the vast ag intensive Central Valley. You’ll see cotton in the field and cotton harvesting along with a tour of a cotton gin, lunch in the park and take home samples of cotton fiber. Throughout the day, leading industry experts and professionalswill present an inside perspective about the many facets of cotton cultivation and processing, addressingissues such as water use, carbon sequestration, cotton farming practices and products possible using Cleaner Cotton™ fiber. <h1>Lunch</h1>Lunch is included at the local O’Banion Park in Dos Palos, CA. Snacks and water will also be provided on the bus. <h1>Lodging</h1>Guests are responsible for their own travel and hotel arrangements. Rooms are available for you to book at La Quinta Inn and Suites, 20 W Pacheco Blvd., Los Banos. The hotel provides a complimentary breakfastfor guests.
