Created by Brayden E. Process: I picked out a pallet and removed both the nails and the backside. Then I began sanding with 40 to 80 grit sandpaper to make it smooth and even. Afterwards, I began the process of painting it as the American flag. Once the stripes were complete, I used a stencil to add the 50 stars. To finish the project I painted the remaining areas black.

I then used scrap wood and wood from the rest of the pallet to add a bottom to the shelf. The entire piece was sanded down with multiple grits. Finally, I stained the shelf. I sanded every part of this bookshelf, which took a very long time to sand the entire thing to 220 grit, but it was worth it in the end, how smooth it was compared to when I first started. I took the seat cushion and stripped it down to the frame. I cut new foam, attached batting, and upholstered it to create a new comfortable seat. I then reattached it back to the frame. Created by Abigale S. Description: A multi-patterned desk organizer made from upcycled cans and wood. Process on how it was made: First, I got four reusable aluminum cans and a piece of wood to make this happen. Next, I sanded the piece of wood with a power sander and 80-grit sandpaper. I then started painting the piece of wood with black and pink paint to resemble a cow print pattern. Next, I gathered various materials, including paper, fabric, string, and printed patterns, to glue on the four cans. I then glued all the materials on the cans with a hot glue gun. Lastly, I glued the cans down to the piece of wood with a hot glue gun. Materials Bought: String Fabric

Afterwards, I began painting the piece brown. I then reattached the handles. Once that was completed I taped the front allowing me to paint a blue square pattern. We started by removing old hardware that would get in the way of sanding. Once the sanding was done on the body and the drawers, it was time to paint. Second, we sanded the legs with detail sanders. We also hand sanded with 80 grit sandpaper. Next, we removed the locking hardware for the leaves. Lastly, we painted the legs off-white and stained the top and leaves. The top edge was stained and shellaced.
