The Sandusky County dance contenders are Jessica Drenning: OhioSTART Caseworker at Sandusky County DJFS, Shelley Hoppes: Owner-Operator of Shellukes Bar & Grill, Adam Miller: Physical Educator at Bishop Hoffman Catholic School and cross country and track coach at SJCC, Crystal Laird: Events and Marketing Coordinator at Sandusky County Chamber of Commerce, and Beth Tischler: Sandusky County Prosecutor! They are being instructed by dance instructors from the talented Ballroom Company and Fremont Ballet School. Patterned after the popular television show, this unique fundraiser puts the ‘fun’ in fundraising. Local celebrities are being teamed up with professional or experienced dancers. Each couple will present their dance routine at the event. Guests will then be given the opportunity to vote for the celebrity dancer of their choice. Each dollar donation counts for one vote. The dancer receiving the most votes will be declared the winner of the People’s Choice Award. All proceeds will be used to support the local CASA program which provides trained volunteers to advocate for the best interest of abused and neglected children in our community.
