Representatives from these offices will be in attendance, including representatives from two United States Congress members' offices, the president of the Houston Lawyers Association, a state legislator and their district director, two Harris County commissioners, Houston City Council members, and the Deputy Chief of Staff for Houston City Council. Among them is a best-selling author with over a million followers, another who built his legacy after being celebrated by the CEO of LinkedIn and working as an engineer at Boeing before becoming an engineer at NASA, and a third who is a generational celebrated public figure with hundreds of thousands of followers. Our ultimate vision is to evolve into a grant-making foundation that empowers Title I schools by providing $5,000 checks for fully-funded academic field trips to places like Space Center Houston, the Houston Museum of Natural Science, and the Children's Museum of Houston.  These grants are designed to cover all costs, including transportation, food, tickets, and merchandise, ensuring inspiring and accessible experiences for students. In just one year, we have achieved remarkable milestones, including earning a five-star Gold Seal from GreatNonprofits, receiving top nonprofit status, and being honored by two U.S. Congress members, the Texas House of Representatives, and the Governor of Texas.  Additionally, October 13th has been officially proclaimed as Wise Up to Rise Up Foundation Day by the Mayor of Houston. By our fifth year, we are confident that we will deliver our first field trip grant, building on the incredible progress we have already made.  Notably, we have collaborated with IDEA Public Schools' Spears Campus to honor 100 students through the Presidential Education Awards Program, endorsed by the Executive Office of the President, the U.S. Secretary of Education, and the U.S. Department of Education. These students, many of whom face challenges such as domestic violence, incarcerated parents, and unstable home environments, come from communities where over 85% of families live below the federal poverty line. Despite these obstacles, our foundation remains committed to inspiring and uplifting these young leaders through education and opportunity.
