This review will increase your knowledge about weight stigma and weight cycling, dis-spell common weight-related health myths, discuss the ineffectiveness of weight loss interventions and increase your proficiency at identifying eating disorder symptomatology across the body diversity spectrum.


Objectives

Upon completion of the learning activity:

  • Participants will be able to describe the interrelated relationships among weight stigma, weight cycling and health outcomes.

  • Participants will be able to explain the concept and practice of a weight-neutral approach to healthcare.

  • Participants will gain skill-based knowledge in identifying eating disorder symptoms in their patients, particularly for patients in larger bodies.


Audience

CE approval is pending for MD's, DO's, PA’s, Nurse Educators, Nurses, Pharmacists, Dietitians, Psychologists and Social Workers.


Allied professionals who believe that this programming meets the requirements of their licensure, may also submit certificate of completion to their licensure board for approval.
