She was trained in opera and the Chinese instrument PiPa. She graduated in XingHai Conservatory of Music. Angela was the ﬁrst China mainland singer signed by HongKong Polygram Recording Company. In the 90’s, she won the championships of many singing contests, including becoming the champion of the HongKong-GuangDong Cup singing contest, the Third Place of Chinese Traditional Instrument competition in China, Champion of Guangdong Flower of Music, and so on. In 1992, she had her ﬁrst solo concert at XingHai Music Hall. Later on, Angela published many personal singing albums, soundtracks for movies and TV, and represented China in a wide variety of performance in different countries. Now, she is the performance director for Seattle Song and Dance Ensemble (SSDE) and established the Angela Music Arts Center. Her students have participated in many international singing contests and have won various prizes including the Water Cube’s singing contest in Beijing, American Protege international vocal competition, USIMC Music Award, and so on.
