The Lakeland Humane Society invites you to "Howl for the Hounds" with us on Saturday, October 29! Join us at Riverhust Community Hall for a night of spooktacular fun, all in support of a meaningful cause! This is an 18+ event. G&C DJ services will have you doing the monster mash all night long with a sure-to-please playlist, your favorite requested tunes, music videos and spooky fog effects! Start planning your costume now as there will be a contest and prizes for best individual, couples, and group costumes! Enjoy a stocked bar, BBQ, snacks, and try your luck with our 50/50 draw. The Lakeland Humane Society is a registered non-profit organization committed to the welfare of animals in the Lakeland area. We rely on community donations to care for over 500 stray, neglected, abandoned and homeless animals every year and give them a second chance through adoption, while also promoting responsible pet ownership and helping to alleviate animal overpopulation. Many animals will require extra medical care or life-saving surgeries. The most important aspect of what we do is ensuring the animals do not have a time limit placed on their lives. Each animal has a home with us for as long as it takes to find their "furever" family! Fundraisers such as this one help keep us afloat and ensure we have sufficient funds for the harder winter months where we tend to see an influx in severe cases due to frostbite, malnutrition, and other injuries. We are so thankful to this wonderful community for their support in helping us care for the animals that so deeply rely on us.  We can't wait to see all you freaks and ghouls at Howl for the Hounds!
