We are very much so looking forward to our inaugural BCBC Whiskey Pairing Dinner with NanaSteak, this coming Saturday February 25th @7pm!  Menu -  A standout 5 course pairing menu features pairings of several club favorite picks, either in carefully crafted and barrel-aged cocktails or straight. The final 2 main courses will each feature 2 BCBC picks from the paired distillery line, further augmenting the pairing experience throughout each course. 1st course:Golden beet carpaccio, arugula salad, citrus vin, goat cheese croquette🍹Pairing: Ron Izalco Rum NegroniRon Izalco 10yr + Campari + Carpano Antica Formula. Aged for 7 months in charred white oak. Served up with flamed sanguine orange. 2nd course:Saffron and charred lemon seafood sausage, black garlic and squid ink veloute 🍹Pairing: Infinity Barrel Champagne SazeracBlend of 6 Club Picks aged for 8 months together in an oak barrel that previously held a Vieux Carre for 6 months. Robert Brulee, Berry Garcia, Peach Cobbler, Take The Cannoli, Dietz Hometown Treatz, Nanner Puddin, with Champagne Demerara and Justin’s Absinthe Bitters. 3rd course:Beef short rib yakitori, cold soba noodle salad, pickled veggies🥃Pairing: Old Forester Barrel Strength side-by-side of “Gooey Pecan Pie” & “OFBs My Cherry Pie” 4th course:Grilled kurobuta pork tenderloin, smoky white beans, charcutier sauce, crispy onions🥃Pairing: Elijah Craig Barrel Proof side-by-side of “Bull in Elijah’s Shoppe” & “‘Lijah Like Sunday Morning” 5th course (Dessert):Bananas Foster-ish style dessert. Small Cake with Ron Izalco Rum Ice Cream + Brûléed Bananas🍹Pairing: Bananas Foster Old FashionedNanner Puddin + Woodinville Barrel Aged Maple Syrup aged for 12 months in a new barrel Finished with Black Walnut Bitters + Izalco Rum soaked Maple Sugar Brûléed Plantains. PLUS: In addition to the 5-course pairing menu…as if that wasn’t already more than enough…we are also planning from a mini-SILENT AUCTION! Our friends at Heaven Hill, Brown-Forman, and Barrell have each made a few item donations. All proceeds from the silent auction will be used for a charitable donation to Duke Children’s Hospital.  *Tickets are $185 (+ tax/tip) per seat. Sign-up and ticket pre-purchase is required. Given the nature of the event, sign-up includes the option to bring a guest (a separate ticket and cost) if you choose; this is entirely optional and know that there will be plenty of opportunity to meet and interact with other group members if you fly solo…4 club admins are going stag as well! **The food, service, and experience at NanaSteak is always amazing. A 20% gratuity will be automatically added to the ticket price. However, you can always tip on top of that; if you plan to do so, please bring cash. ***As you can tell…there are numerous high proof pours and cocktails planned throughout the evening. Please plan accordingly and arrange for responsible transportation. ****Life happens. While tickets will be non-refundable, they are transferable and you are likely to be able to find other interested group members should a conflict arise.
