This ticket is valid for ONE adult. You are free to play on a randomized team with other adults or compete on a team with family.

4:30 ADULT ticket

This ticket is valid for ONE student in 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade. Student IDs will be checked.

4:30 HIGH SCHOOL ticket

This ticket is valid for ONE student in 6th, 7th, or 8th grade. Student IDs will be checked.

4:30 MIDDLE SCHOOL ticket

All are welcome for a fun-filled night of great food, epic prizes, and awesome trivia!$150 GRAND PRIZE!!Who: 4th grade and up (adults welcome)! Participants will compete in teams of up to 4. You may self-select these teams or they will be assigned randomly. Teams can be a composite of all ages (middle schoolers are not required to only team up with middle schoolers, etc.). When: Friday, January 20th, 2023FIRST ROUND: 4:30-6FINALS: 6-6:30Where: Parish Hall of the St. Ann & the Holy Trinity Church in Brooklyn Heights.Please note that tickets do not have to be purchased online, but due to space constraints, we may not be able to accommodate tickets purchased at the event. Our Story:Burmese refugees have already faced multiple atrocities. Their one hope is education, and students in the New Blood refugee school on the Thai-Myanmar border have been studying for their GEDs for almost three years. But now, they are faced with incredibly large testing prices: 80 USD per section, with four sections, meaning three hundred and twenty US dollars per student. It is absurd to ask refugees, people fleeing brutality and persecution in their home country, to pay this much for a future. Worse yet? In New York State, the cost to take the GED is zero dollars. Zero.These students cannot wait much longer — the refugee camp simply isn’t big enough to house that many people. While we have looked into vouchers for these students, the big corporations behind this are refusing to budge. This is why we are calling on YOU to help these kids and give them the future they deserve.There are 50 students in immediate need. They have been studying so hard, learning English without any prior knowledge. Many have come to the camp unaccompanied by their parents. We know that $16,000 is a lot. But it’s an insurmountable cost for the students.Imagine waking up one day and everything you know and love is ripped away from you: your childhood home, your friends, your education, maybe even your parents and family. Somehow, you find a way to escape the blood and violence, only to be faced with unfair and exploitative fees from big corporations feeding off of your poverty. Education is power, they say. Now it is time to empower these students.Please, please help them take this step to get their GEDs and have a chance at a future.In light of these students’ plight, questions will be sourced from GED exams (with pop culture mixed in, of course)…so, if you win, you can basically say that you’ve graduated from high school!
