AUDITON INFORMATION:Everyone will stay for their full audition block (1 hour). Actors may bring water, but no other food and/or drink. &nbsp;We ask that actors wear comfortable clothes that they can dance in. Shoes should be a dance or closed toe athletic shoe that has NOT been worn outside (we have a new Marley Dance floor that we would keep in good condition). However, it does explain our process and dates for possible rehearsals. AUDITION PREPARATIONDuring your initial audition, you are NOT auditioning for a specific role. This portion of the audition is to see what you can create with your voice, movement, and character, for any role we give you. In addition, projection, volume, annunciation, and honest characters are all things we are looking for in the auditions. We are using these pieces to look for these things, despite the character name that choose to sing or read. When you open the &ldquo;Vocal Audition&quot; folder, you will see folders with song names on them. When you open that song&rsquo;s folder, you will find a vocal track, an instrumental track, and a vocal score for each audition cut of the song. The vocal track is for you to learn the music and practice. The instrumental track is what you will perform with during the audition. You will be singing a solo with the instrumental track during your audition, so please practice singing the song by yourself with the instrumental track. Be aware that you will be singing the entire song selection as a solo (singing all of the characters in that selection). There is no need to be memorized, but it does help your audition if your head is up, so we can see your face and acting skills during your audition. However, we do not have scripts, so if you would like to use your materials during the audition, you must print and bring them with you. We will have your music and will play it for you.&nbsp; Although you only need to prepare one song for the initial audition, if you get a callback, you will need to be familiar with all of the songs. For callbacks, we will quickly review each song and then you may be asked to sing a small solo section with the instrumental track only. It is in your best interest to be familiar with all of the songs.&nbsp; ACTING: Open the &ldquo;Acting Audition (Monologues)&rdquo; pdf and choose ONE monologue to perform for the audition. Again, you do not need to memorize it, but you should be comfortable with it when you do read it during your audition. We do not have scripts or printed audition materials, so if you would like to read your audition monologue, you must print and bring it with you. Also, be prepared that if you get a callback you may be asked to read another one of the selections provided, so you should do your best to have a grip on all of them.&nbsp; DANCING: Perform the dance audition choreography to &ldquo; NYC&ldquo; . PLEASE learn the dance before the audition day. * Dance audition is not available just yet. Videos and materials to learn the combination will be in the dance audition folder by Saturday, August 30th. CALLBACKS:&nbsp; Sunday, Sept 7, 2025. Times TBD (between the hours of 12pm-9pm) We will send a callback list to all those who auditioned after initial auditions on Saturday, September 6. If you are called back, it will take place sometime between the hours of 12:00-9:00pm on Sunday 9/7/25. If you receive a callback, you MUST print, fill out, and bring the &quot;Rehearsal Availability Form Annie&rdquo; to your callback audition.&nbsp; If you cannot make the Callback date, please let us know at your initial audition, you may be asked to do more at that time, so please be prepared. FINAL AUDITION TIPS:It is ALWAYS a good idea to do your research. If you are not familiar with the show or the characters within it...that&rsquo;s ok! There are plenty of online resources and videos that can help you familiarize yourself with the characters and music in this production. Please know we cast with the actor&rsquo;s best interest in mind and want to see everyone succeed. We take each role and place careful consideration into who will be best for the part and which character will highlight the actor. We know that the audition process can be intimidating, but we want you to just come and have FUN!
