The Rattlesnake Ridge Riders Chapter of BCHW is in need of raising funds for our ongoing projects of trail maintenance, Horn Rapids Park Horse Camp Facility, and other endeavors.  We recently cleared approx. 80+ trees on several trails in the Blue Mountains Area and received grant funding to install new water troughs in that area.  We have several work groups every year to maintain the Horse Camping area of Horn Rapids Park.  We maintain the cost incurred for Porta-Potties at the Rattlesnake Trailhead just North of Benton City that is a multi-use trailhead.  We hold an adventure with horses camp experience for kids every year at Camp Wooten.  We support a group of young riders and their families in a group called the Trail Warriors, teaching them valuable lessons for camping with horses and safety while doing so.  We have a member who educates these folks and others about LNT- "Leave No Trace" camping/ horseback use on trails and outback areas.  We participate yearly at the Annual Sportsman's Show and County Fair, with an Informative Booth for Safety and Education for a variety of horseback activities.  These events do have costs associated for attending.  For many years, the group put on a fund-raising ride annually; The Chili Ride.  We would see anywhere from 150 to 300 riders for that event.  Recently, cost restrictions and volunteer participation have made this event not feasible.  We are in dire need of another lane to keep our Chapter active and able to fund the programs that we manage.We THANK YOU  in advance for your contribution and donations to our Club!Winning bidders will be contacted about where to pick up their winnings!
