Whether you consider yourself to be someone with “two left feet” or someone who used to enjoy dance classes, this inclusive workshop is designed to help you discover new ways to be physically active AND engage movement strategies rooted in neuroscience that help your brain discover new thought patterns and reflect in new ways. Providing a mix of mellow & motivating movements, this gentle beginner-friendly workshop allows movers to come together to experience community, co-regulation, and confidence in exploring self-expression through the body. Students should dress in comfortable clothes with sneakers and bring a yoga mat, and a snack/water bottle. Please arrive a few minutes early if possible. Entrance is located at the side door by the construction dumpster.  ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR: Angie Lichtenwalner is a native Lehigh Valley, PA dancer, teaching artist, choreographer, wife, and mom. She fine-tuned her dance technique in a variety of genres at Dolly Haltzman Dance Academy/Repertory Ballet Academy and Repertory Dance Theatre (RDT). After discovering her passion for teaching, she earned degrees in Dance Education from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia (B.F.A. with honors) and New York University’s Steinhardt School (M.A./N.Y.S. Certification PreK-12 Dance). Angie developed and implemented a comprehensive, creative dance curriculum for a public K-8 school in the Bronx, NY. She was honored to have this work featured in the February 2010 edition of Dance Teacher Magazine. While living in NYC, she also taught for the PeriChild program at the  Peridance Capezio Center  and spent time abroad, teaching dance in both Uganda and Guatemala.  Angie has performed professionally with NYC-based companies including TAPFUSION,  isadoraNOW , Illuminations Dance Company, and Deborah Damast andDancers.
