Step back in time and gather around the fire at Marble Springs for Cooking with Fire, a hands-on culinary workshop that brings the frontier to life. As part of our ongoing Hearth &amp; Timber: Experiences of the Past series, this special evening program invites you to learn the basics of 18th-century open-fire cooking in a peaceful outdoor setting.Led by the talented team from Rising Appalachia, the evening includes:<ul data-end="1296" data-start="1100" fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li data-end="1155" data-start="1100" fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Guided instruction on historical cooking techniques</li><li data-end="1238" data-start="1156" fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Preparation of a rustic, frontier-inspired meal using cast iron and open coals</li><li data-end="1296" data-start="1239" fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">A shared dinner made and enjoyed together by the fire</li></ul>Tickets are $25 for non-members and just $20 for Marble Springs members. It&rsquo;s a great opportunity to save while supporting our mission to preserve and interpret Tennessee&rsquo;s early history. This program is designed for adults and is limited to those 18 and older. Because we&rsquo;ll be working with live fire, hot equipment, and sharp tools, participants should be comfortable with a hands-on experience.&nbsp; Whether you&rsquo;re looking for a unique date night or a memorable Father&rsquo;s Day activity with your adult children, this class offers a meaningful way to connect with history&mdash;and each other.
