Couple of things to remember: 1.)MOST IMPORTANT: ARRIVE AT 10:30am TO ENSURE YOU ARE ON TIME!! We don’t want to be scallywags about this but it happens every year, so please for the love of everything holy, please be on time! THE BOAT WILL LEAVE THE DOCK EXACTLY AT 11AM. IF YOU ARE NOT ON THE BOAT AT 11AM YOU WILL BE LEFT BEHIND, NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE. WE WILL NOT WAIT FOR “PEOPLE WHO ARE ALMOST THERE” OR “PEOPLE WHO ARE PARKING” OR “PEOPLE WHO ARE LOST” OR “PEOPLE WHO ARE IN THE PARKING LOT” (You know who you are!) These last few years when we’ve had our Large Marge Party Barge party, we’ve gotten dozens of phone calls at the last minute begging us to wait because people are running late, or are lost, or who’s car broke down, or who got out of work late, or who didn’t know the traffic would be so bad etc. etc. We have waited and waited and leave late cutting into our time on the boat and it’s not fair to the people who arranged their day properly, were punctual and arrived on time. Our phones will be turned off and we will not be taking any calls asking for us to wait this year. Be on time or be ready to wave goodbye from the docks as we sail away! 2.) The address is:  Beach Front Boat Rentals16120 Wharf Cove, Volente TX 78641 Plug that in your GPS ahead of time and see how long it will take you to get there so you’ll know when to leave. Again, plan on arriving at 10:30am to know that you will be there on time. The boat will leave at 11am sharp so be there and be onboard before then.   3.) When you arrive at the parking lot, tell the parking attendant you are with the Not A Glum Lot party for FREE parking.   3.) If you have purchased more than one ticket for yourself and others, you’ll need to have everyone with you when you check in. We will only be checking in complete groups. So, for example, if you purchased a ticket for yourself and three friends, all four of you will need to check in at the same time, and the full reimbursement will only be given to the person whose name is on the list who paid.   4.) Check in with our Not A Glum Lot crew at the front before loading to make sure you RSVP’d and are on the list! If we are ready to leave and the boat is full and someone who IS on the list isn’t allowed to board because we are full, we will systematically go through each person there to find out who is on the boat that didn’t sign up so please don’t try to sneak by our check in area, you’ll just be super embarrassed when you make the whole boat wait and have to get asked to leave in front of everyone. Do not bring anyone with you who’s name isn’t on the list. Anyone who’s name is not on the list will be turned away. This boat will sell out. There is a legal capacity limit on the boat, and we will reached that legal capacity. Anyone who comes whose name is not on the list will not be allowed to board.   5.) Bring sunscreen and USE IT. Every year there are a handful of people who get absolutely fried like a lobster and it can all be avoided if you bring sunscreen and actually put it on! Don’t be a lobster!  6.) It’s going to be sunny and hot! Be ready for that and drink plenty of fluids! Yes, we’ll have coolers upon coolers of energy drinks (This is the Not A Glum Lot way!) but be sure to drink plenty of water also. We don’t want anyone dehydrating please! That is frowned upon.   7.) There will be no food on board so we’d suggest getting something to eat BEFORE boarding the ship.   That’s all you’ll need to know!   Excited to see everyone on Sunday! See y’all soon!
