Don’t miss your chance to show off your skills on the green at this year’s Papa Johns Charity Golf Scramble. We’ll spend the morning at the Nevel Meade Golf Club for a day of golf with colleagues and friends while supporting a worthy cause. The format is a four-person scramble, each player hits a tee shot and the team chooses the best one to play from. This continues until the ball is holed. The entry fee is $50 per person (individual registration) or $200 per team of four. New this year, team members can form their own teams. If you register as an individual, we will assign you to a team. All proceeds will benefit the Papa Fund, which provides financial assistance to Papa Johns team members in times of need. Since it began in 2005, the Fund has provided more than $1.7 million to nearly 5,000 team members. You can also make additional donations when you register online. When: Monday, Oct. 7<ul><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Registration and range opens at 7:30 a.m. Coffee and donuts will be provided.</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Shotgun start at 9 a.m.</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Pizza lunch and awards ceremony following</li></ul>Last year, we had 21 teams participate and raised $9,000. This year the money raised by the event will go to the Papa Johns Team Member Emergency Relief Fund (Papa Fund).  The Papa Fund was established in 2000 to assist Papa Johns corporate and PJ Food Service team members who need financial assistance because of an emergency situation, injury, illness, catastrophe, fire, flood, tornado or similar disaster or event. Since its formation, the Papa Fund has dispersed over $1.7 million to members in need thanks to the many team members who donate through their payroll deductions and events like this.   Last year the golf tournament raised $9,000, our goal is to surpass that this year.
