We are excited to invite you to become a member of DownTheMarsh Community Land Trust!&nbsp; DTM CLT Overview&nbsp; DownTheMarsh Community Land Trust (DTM CLT) is an early-stage, rural, Afrocentric community land trust in Truro, Nova Scotia. DTMCLT&rsquo;s aims to develop housing on collectively owned land, building wellness, wealth, and wholeness for African Nova Scotian (ANS) people. Our initial goal is to acquire six to eight properties for the development of up to 40 units of high-quality affordable housing for ANS and other Black households. Anyone 18 years and above. &nbsp;Applicants under 14 to 17 years can apply with their guardian&#39;s written consent (by-law section 2.14). &nbsp;Our membership is seeking to prioritize:&nbsp;1. Intergenerational African Nova Scotian Marshresidents/descendants2. Intergenerational African Nova Scotian Hill and Island residents/descendants3. Present and former ANS Truro residents/descendants4. Former low income people from the Marsh and their descendants5. African Nova Scotians living in province6. African Nova Scotian descendants anywhere7. People of African heritage8. Residents of Colchester County Criteria is in effect to protect the historical relevance of the ANS community. Membership terms follow the calendar year, January 1st to Dec 31st. &nbsp;You will be invited to renew on an annual basis.&nbsp; We invite you to support our vision and ongoing work with a financial contribution. Your generosity helps us make a lasting impact together. &nbsp;Donation Link (It is automatically provided on the platform and funds would go straight to our account ) Data protection and privacy notice We keep a record of your name and contact details so we can:&nbsp;<ol fr-original-style="" style="width: 100%; box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Maintain a register of members&nbsp;</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Inform you of the time, date and location of the Annual General Meeting and any other meetings which you are entitled to attend</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Inform you of any developments concerning the business of the Trust&nbsp;</li></ol> We will take all reasonable precautions to keep your data secure, and we will never pass your data on to third parties.
