toribio brings with him a lifelong musical background in percussion, education and practice in jazz, and a devotion to the sounds of his dominican roots. through the teachings of luminaries like theo parrish and masters at work, toribio's selections are magically musical and soulful, a dancefloor master by all metrics. ps - his band conclave released one of the best album's we've heard in many years.
chicago born & miami raised, mickey pérez is a first generation american of cuban & ecuadorean descent who’s continues to lay-down the funkiest rhythms from africa, south america, brazil, + the caribbean. providing riveting rhythms steeped in timeless tones, genre forms no barrier for mickey, who can plays it all with style and grace.
