This month's nature walk will be held at Belleplain State Forest in Woodbine. We will be meeting in the Lake Nummy parking lot and walking 3.3 miles on flat, sandy terrain. Dress in warm layers and bring water and a snack! **Winter layering tips:<ul><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Wear synthetic fabrics like acrylic, polyester, etc as a base layer closest to your skin with several layers on top that can be wool, wool blend, cotton blend, etc. </li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Never wear cotton as a base layer as it holds moisture to your skin and can increase your chance of hypothermia in cold weather. </li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Don't forget to also wear a warm hat, gloves, warm socks, and a scarf or something to keep your neck warm- protecting your extremities is important in cold weather. </li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">If you have sensitive sinuses consider also wearing a cloth face mask/face covering as it can help warm up the air as you breathe and prevent sinus inflammation.</li></ul>
