Dates: January 18th, February 1st, February 8th, February 22nd, March 8, March 22, April 5thTime: 2-hour sessions (Saturdays 1pm - 3pm).Location: Workshops will be held in-person on the St. George campus (detailed location will be provided after registration).Food: No lunch will be provided, but snacks will be available.Cost: $35 per participant. Payment must be made online (no cash payments). If you require a bursary, please send an email to <a href="mailto:innomasters@ewb.skule.ca">innomasters@ewb.skule.ca</a> to indicate your request for a bursary. Innomasters is a semester-long mentorship initiative designed to introduce Toronto high school students to engineering design concepts. Over the span of 4 months, participants will engage in 6 biweekly, 2-hour workshops to learn about the engineering design process and apply these skills to a project of their own choosing based on the UN Sustainability Goals of “Good Health and Wellbeing” and “Quality Education”. The program culminates in a Design Showcase, where students will present their work.Each workshop is crafted to guide students through key aspects of engineering design:<ul><li>Workshop 1 (Jan 18): Foundations of Impact - Introduction to Engineering Design</li><li>Workshop 2 (Feb 1): Teaming Up for Change - Framing an Engineering Problem</li><li>Workshop 3 (Feb 8): Designing with Purpose - Project Requirements</li><li>Workshop 4 (Feb 22): Turning Vision into Action - Idea Generation and Selection</li><li>Workshop 5 (March 8): From Ideas to Prototypes - Prototyping</li><li>Workshop 6 (March 22): Showcase Ready - Engineering Communication</li><li>Design Showcase (April 5): Presentations - Prizes and Awards</li></ul>What to BringParticipants only need to bring a laptop or a device with internet access. Pencils, paper, and other materials will be provided. Lecture content will also be posted online, so taking notes during the sessions is optional.
