It is time again to gather with your favorite Kentuckians and friends to celebrate Kentucky traditions and the most exciting 2 minutes in sports! We are looking forward to celebrating all things Derby and watching the race on the big screen with our fellow Kentuckians and friends!! We have a new venue this year-- DACOR Bacon House, a historic venue near the White House. Put on your Derby best and join us starting at 4pm for southern foods, Maker's Mark mint juleps, live bluegrass music from Sweet Yonder (who performed at our Bluegrass Ball), our annual hat contest, and so much more! Your ticket includes entry into the event, unlimited catered food offerings, and for those 21+ unlimited beer, wine, and Maker's Mark mint juleps! FAQsWho may purchase tickets to the Kentucky Derby Party?Members of the Kentucky Society of Washington are eligible to purchase tickets to the Derby party at the Member Rate. If you're not already a member, it's easy to join! Just visit our <a href="https://www.kentuckysocietyofwashington.com" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer ugc" style="text-decoration-color:initial;user-select:auto;box-sizing:inherit" target="_blank">website</a> and follow the prompts to pay your 2025 dues. Keep in mind that the Derby Party is made possible by members of the Society volunteering their time. What are the ticket prices?Members may buy tickets for $90. Non-members may purchase tickets for $130. Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?If you plan to drink alcohol, you must be 21 years of age or older, and will be asked to present a valid ID at the door in order to obtain an "over 21" band and be served alcohol. What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?Our beautiful and historic venue is located conveniently in downtown Washington, DC. The nearest metro stops are Farragut West (orange, silver and blue lines) and Farragut North (red line). There is ample street parking near the venue as well as some parking garages in the neighborhood. Consider using Spot Hero for realtime updates on parking availablity. We strongly encourage utlizing public transportation or ridesharing (such as Uber/Lyft/taxis) to attend the event.
