Turn old t-shirts and clothing into something beautiful and functional! In this two-session class, we’ll combine creative reuse with simple mindfulness practices to transform worn garments into durable yarn. Then, learn how to crochet your own basket, tote, or hot pad using legacy handcraft techniques. Students will: • Learn how to make t-shirt yarn from old clothing • Use crochet techniques to create practical, upcycled pieces • Explore mindful making practices • Help reduce textile waste by repurposing materials No experience necessary—just bring sharp scissors and a large crochet hook (size K–N).
