Bring home a piece of Pi history!&nbsp; These dolls represent playwrights whose work Pi has produced. Crochet-art representations of Shayna Jones (Black &amp; Rural, 2023), Taylor Mac (Hir, 2018), Sarah Kane (Blasted, 2015) and Haruki Murakami (After the Quake, 2010), were commissioned from artist Blake Hobson-Dimas (Artistic Director/Lead Costume Designer, <a fr-original-style="" href="https://www.headfullofrocks.ca/" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: initial; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">HeadFullOfRocks Performance Collective</a>) to mark Pi&rsquo;s 40th Anniversary. In keeping with Pi&rsquo;s mission to offer theatrical experiences that are intellectually alive and emotionally charged delivered in a highly theatrical way, these four playwrights are four of many from Pi&rsquo;s 40-year history, who exemplify the essence of that vision. In each case the playwright&rsquo;s central characters&rsquo; internal experiences shape and distort the world around them. The writers use heightened, stylized and often symbolic imagery to generate a theatrical poetry that lies&nbsp;beyond realism, while offering new ways of representing human experience.
