At Stage Crew Camp, teens ages 12-18 will learn the ropes of backstage for those who love theatre but not the spotlight! Camp begins each day at 9 am and ends at 3 pm. On Friday at 3, campers will perform their musical for friends and family in a free show, open to the public.

Stage Crew Camp for "Giants in the Sky"

Teens ages 12-18 will learn the ropes of backstage for those who love theatre but not the spotlight or who want to learn both sides of the production. Camp Lighthouse Stage Crew Camp is an immersive learning experience for youth who want to learn technical theatre, stage crew, set production, props and costuming and more! Participants will be exposed to aspects of stage management including but not limited to: set building, backstage communication, lighting design, sound production, and helping produce a live performance on Friday at the end of camp.  The June session will have the opportunity to crew the Camp Lighthouse's production of "PRESS START!" and the July session will be for "Giants in the Sky". PRESS START! transports us inside the bright, pixelated world of video games! When the famous characters we know and love run out of lives, they decide to put on a musical fundraiser that will help them raise gold rings and play on. Through hilarious and heartfelt musical numbers we see the heroes, villains and sidekicks like we’ve never seen them before. But when things go terribly awry, it’s the quiet sidekick Little Mushroom who must find the hero within to help save the day! GIANTS IN THE SKY: This magical story explores the world of Giants who live above the clouds. Ever since they left Earth a long time ago, the Giants have made a life up above where their job is to keep the sky beautiful. They polish the stars, poke the clouds to let it rain and paint the sunsets. But there is one curious Giant who wonders what life is like on Earth, so she steals a key to the locked up “beanstalk” and embarks on an adventure down below!
