Join us for a week of creative exploration focused on portrait painting. Students will build skills in sketching, composition, and color while working with professional artists in a real gallery setting.

Teens will learn how to depict the human face and figure while also experimenting with gesture, emotion, symbolism, and style. We&rsquo;ll introduce artists from history and today who use portraiture to communicate identity, culture, and emotion&mdash;ranging from classical techniques to expressive and contemporary approaches. Students will engage in sketching exercises, character studies, and painting from reference, all while exploring how to develop a personal visual language. By the end of the week, each student will complete a finished portrait that reflects both skill and self-expression, to be featured in our student gallery exhibition on Friday.
