Handmade Tomahawk!

Colonial American pipe tomahawk. Handmade by Jason Corbett, a veteran of the US Army/Arizona Army National Guard 2001-2007. Head is 4140 steel forged from old tractor axle. Handle is premium grade curly maple (sugar maple) from western PA. Mouthpiece and top plug are turned elk bone from a bull elk from the Lake Mary herd in northern AZ. Copper top cap and nails are made from an artillery shell driving band dug in the Somme battlefield of France. Handle is 20.5" in length. Tomahawk head is 6" long with a 2" cutting edge. It is a functional pipe and the head is sharpened, finished in the white. A simple line engraving is on each side of blade. Corbett's makers mark is stamped on the left side of blade.  Not recommended for throwing or chopping wood but could easily serve its original purpose. Weight is a little over 1lb total.
