We&#39;re bringing something extraordinary to life... a one-night benefit for the Entertainment Community Fund, hosted by special guest Emmy Nominee Finola Hughes (&quot;General Hospital&quot;). Our community has been profoundly affected by the recent wildfires, while still struggling to get back on its feet after the strikes. But when the ground shifts, community holds.&nbsp; Executive Produced by Amanda Quinn Olivar together with Axial Theatre, the&nbsp;Lee Strasberg Creative Center and Zetland Media, we are proud to present a staged reading of THE PARK written by&nbsp;Eric Conger, directed by three-time Emmy Award winner Cady McClain&nbsp;(who can currently be seen as an actor on CBS&#39;s &quot;Beyond the Gates&quot;).&nbsp; Special thanks go to ArtsWestchester and the Westchester County Government for helping to make this event possible. Described as &quot;inventive, imaginative and heartbreaking in its effectiveness,&quot; this story of a small American town facing life-changing events has never felt more relevant. Eric Conger is a member of the Ensemble Studio Theatre&#39;s prestigious Playwrights Unit. He and director McClain began their journey of THE PARK with a reading in 2023 at Axial Theatre through their SAFEHOUSE program, and further developed it in 2024 at Manhattan Theatre Club&#39;s Creative Center&nbsp;in New York City. He has co-written short films with his daughter Sophia Conger, which have been accepted into major festivals, including HollyShorts, Garden State, and Cincinnati. He is an Ohio native and a graduate of Wesleyan University and the University of Paris. Proud member of AEA, SAG-AFTRA, and Dramatists Guild.
