About this Program: Relaxation and visualization (also known as guided imagery) techniques can be powerful and effective ways to help you exercise control over your physical and emotional well-being. Learn to manage cancer-related symptoms such as pain, fear, anxiety, sleeplessness, feelings of overwhelm, and feelings of isolation. This program is open to individuals with lived-cancer experience and their caregivers. It blends coping techniques with general discussion about challenges you may be experiencing with respect to cancer. “The Relaxation and Visualization program has played a pivotal role in my personal healing.  I have learned much from the facilitators and fellow members, sharing and listening in a space of understanding, compassion and safety.  Having been introduced to this program at Wellspring I am now able to practice Mindfulness daily, which has not only helped me through my cancer journey, but most importantly has helped me through my personal journey of Life.  For this I am most grateful.  I had a dramatic and positive health experience after coming out of a visualization class and following through that afternoon with the visualization exercise, using my mind to conquer cancer.” - Sandra Benns This is a single session-based program which is 90 minutes long.
