Hoagie spent the first 2&ndash;3 years of his life surviving on the streets. When he finally came into foster care, it didn&rsquo;t take long for his sweet personality to shine through.Every morning, Hoagie curls up with his human, rests his head on their shoulder, and purrs. After spending so much of his life outside, he&rsquo;s finally discovered what it feels like to be safe, loved, and cared for. 🥹But recently, something changed.Hoagie started breathing harder than usual and recently began panting. We rushed him to the vet, where X-rays showed abnormal fluid buildup affecting his breathing. Right now, we&rsquo;re still trying to determine exactly what&rsquo;s causing it. His symptoms could be related to a heart condition or asthma, and we need more answers.For now, Hoagie has started medication to help make breathing easier while we work toward a diagnosis and figure out what he needs next.He&rsquo;s come SO far.
