WeCode KC presents game development with Scratch! The sky is the limit as we explore concepts in gaming and technology for a hands-on journey that merges fun, learning, and coding. This class is for students ages 7 - 12, and is designed to let young coders use visual-oriented block-based coding, which helps them understand how coding components create movement and fun. IMPORTANT! You are signing up for a 10-week class that will take place EVERY SATURDAY UNTIL September 20, 2025.  Students will build on the skills they learn each week in class, culminating in a final project. Class will meet on the following days from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm:Week 1: 06/28/202507/05/2025 NO CLASS - July 4th HolidayWeek 2: 07/12/2025Week 3: 07/19/2025Week 4: 07/26/2025Week 5: 08/02/2025Week 6: 08/09/202508/16/2025 NO CLASS - Kid's Tech Day!Week 7: 08/23/202508/30/2025 NO CLASS - Labor Day WeekendWeek 8: 09/06/2025Week 9: 09/13/2025Week 10: 09/20/2025 WeCode KC believes that coding is like sports: the more you practice, the better you get! Students ages 7 - 12 are welcome to attend this class. If you are unsure if your student is ready, we recommend that students possess the following basic skills to succeed in our classes:<ul><li style="box-sizing:inherit">able to use a computer keyboard and mouse</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">able to read and understand short sentences</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">able to sit still and focus for at least 45 minutes</li></ul>We aim to provide a safe, inclusive, and equitable environment for every student who wants to learn.
