💛 L'équipe du Pont A.P.P.I.

Aidons Monsieur C à retrouver la vue !

Imagine that the world is slowly fading away around you. You can no longer read your favorite books, cook your meals, or walk alone down the street. 🌫️ This is what Mr. C experiences every day. Mr. C suffers from a severe cataract. He isn’t blind: his condition is reversible, but he can no longer see anything. 🏥 An Exhausting Journey Mr. C has experienced what is known as “medical homelessness.” He was transferred from one department to another, without explanation and without care. He spent two months in a hospital room without receiving any services. At the end of those two months, he was told he could not have surgery here because he lacks legal status in Canada. During that time, he lost everything: his job, his housing, and his legal status. 💔 🏠 Today, at Le Pont Mr. C is staying free of charge at Le Pont A.P.P.I. We’ve adapted our space with whatever resources we have to make it as comfortable as possible for him. We’re also helping him reestablish his immigration status. These procedures are lengthy and will take a long time. ⏳ Until then, Mr. C is not entitled to any medical care or specialized support. He has no adaptive equipment, only a cane that’s too short for him. Every month he waits, he loses a little more of his independence. ✨ A simple surgery that can change everything Cataract surgery is a common, quick, and highly effective procedure. In the private sector, it costs about $10,000. That’s the amount we’re trying to raise. With your help, Mr. C could: 📚 read again (he loves to read and has lots of books!)🍳 cook, walk, and get around on his own💪 regain his independence and tackle the next steps in his journey under the right conditionsInstead of wasting more precious months, he could prepare to rebuild his life. 🙏 Every donation counts Whether you donate $10, $50, or more, or share this campaign, you’re bringing us closer to the day when Mr. C can open a book and read the first page. 📖 Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! 💛The Pont A.P.P.I.
