Launching Dreams to the Moon: Opening Space for Underrepresented Girls Everywhere Dear Supporters and Sponsors, For most of us, looking up at the night sky is magical. We look at the Moon and know it belongs to everyone. But for a long time, space felt like something only grown-up scientists and astronauts could touch. For young girls, especially those who don&#39;t have many chances in life, dreaming about science or space felt too hard.Until now! My name is Sadna Isik. As an advocate for change, educator, and the proud Canadian Ambassador for a wonderful global project called Mission ShaktiSAT 2026, I am dedicated to breaking down walls so that girls from every background can explore the universe. This historic international movement&mdash;bringing together participants from 108 countries under the guidance of leading space scientists&mdash;is receiving widespread global media coverage. From major international news outlets highlighting our mission to empower 12,000 young women worldwide, to stories celebrating how we are closing the gender gap in deep tech, the world is watching this unprecedented journey unfold. Right here from Winnipeg, through our foundation, our Canadian team&mdash;myself and our amazing student representative&mdash;is getting ready for this incredible adventure. We travel on August 22, 2026&mdash;just two weeks away!Our student will travel to join girls from across the globe at a special university program. Working alongside real space scientists, these students will learn how to build actual satellites&mdash;machines that go into space and even travel all the way to the Moon! For the very first time, Canada&#39;s flag will be on the Moon. This is about much more than rockets. It is about the happy feeling a girl from an underrepresented community gets when she realizes, &quot;I can do this too. I belong here.&quot;When we return home, our Canadian team will work together to help other underrepresented girls across Canada who don&#39;t normally get chances like this. We want to bring these exciting opportunities right to them so they can learn, grow, and build their own bright futures.
