Thank you for helping us provide care when it's needed most.

When They Need More Than Rescue Sometimes getting a cat to safety is only the beginning. A kitten arrives struggling to breathe. An injured stray needs emergency surgery. A cat who's survived years of neglect requires extensive treatment before recovery can even begin. At SOS Prairie Rescue, we see how quickly a medical emergency can change everything. We also know that some of the cats who need us most will require weeks or months of veterinary care. Their chance at recovery shouldn't end when the medical bills begin. Care Beyond the EmergencyOur Emergency Veterinary Care Fund helps SOS provide critical treatment for vulnerable cats facing illness, injury, and complicated medical conditions. Your donations help support emergency examinations, diagnostic testing, hospitalization, surgeries, medications, specialized treatment, and ongoing rehabilitation. Some cases require immediate intervention. Others involve repeated appointments, referrals, and difficult recoveries. Each comes with expenses that can place enormous pressure on rescue resources. Your Support Makes Their Care PossibleThis fund allows supporters to contribute to medical needs across SOS rather than waiting for an individual emergency appeal. By giving once or becoming a monthly supporter, you're helping us plan for the ongoing cost of veterinary care while maintaining resources for unexpected emergencies. We cannot predict which cat will need emergency treatment next. But we can work together to ensure SOS has the resources to respond when that moment comes. Because reaching safety should be the beginning of their recovery, not the end of their chance. Thank you for helping us care for the cats who need more than rescue.
