Membership Levels
- Annual Partner (4 activaitons/ highest access) - Best Value - $24,000
- Champion Partner (2 activations/ high access) - $16,000
- Event Partner (at least 1 activation / specific event access) - $7,650
- Community Partner (Marketing and digital exposure / no in-person benefits - $2,000
Steering Committee - is a top-up of benefits for $2,500 -$3,000 (only Annual and Champion level partners are eligible for this level

What is the Black Innovation Zone
The Black Innovation Zone (BIZ) is a national ecosystem-building initiative dedicated to advancing Black entrepreneurship, innovation, and economic inclusion across Canada. Through convening Black-led organizations, founders, ecosystem partners, and institutional collaborators, BIZ strengthens pathways for Black entrepreneurs to access high-growth sectors, national conferences, funding opportunities, and broader innovation networks.
BIZ’s mandate includes
- spotlighting Black-led ventures,
- increasing visibility and representation,
- supporting capacity-building, and
- creating connected, cross-regional opportunities that help founders thrive in Canada’s entrepreneurial landscape.

- Increase access to capital for Black founders & investors
- Support job creation within the BIZ ecosystem
- Back a Black-owned fund
In the past 2 years, the Black Innovation Zone:
2025
- Engaged 18,000+ attendees across national activations
- Supported 160+ Black-led startups through showcases, pitch competitions, and founder engagements
- Collaborated with 40+ ecosystem partners, sponsors, and institutions nationwide
- Facilitated programming across Web Summit Vancouver, Toronto Tech Week, StartupFest Montreal, and Elevate Festival Toronto
2026
- Engaged 25,000+ attendees at national innovation events
- Supported 200+ Black-led startups through showcases, pitch competitions, and direct engagement
- Worked with 25+ unique ecosystem partners and sponsors across the year’s activations
- Facilitated programming across Web Summit Vancouver, Toronto Tech Week, StartupFest Montreal, BIZ World Cup, Melamoon Face Tour, and CAIF Festival
