本講旨在探討由早期移民潮到日本據台時代，「中華性」在不同時期對台灣漢人身份認同所起到的作用，以及日本的殖民統治(1895-1945年)，如何催化全島性的「台灣意識」和形塑「台灣人」的身份。此次分享以粵語為主，由余祺爗博士主講。 余祺爗博士，現任加拿大西蒙菲莎大學化學系副研究員。2017年，他於倫敦大學亞非學院獲授歷史學哲學博士學位。 余博士有多年的高校教學與研究經歷: 包括曾任職廣州中山大學歷史系特聘副研究員; 並曾任教於西蒙菲莎大學、西三一大學、香港大學等高校。 隨喜付費。建議帶口罩參與。我們亦會在現場提供口罩。 This talk examines &quot;Chineseness&quot; in the making of Han Taiwanese identity from early cross-strait migrations till Japanese occupation, and how Japanese colonial rule (1895-1945) connected to the emergence of an island wide &quot;Taiwanese consciousness&quot; and identity. Dr. Cyrus Yee is a Research Associate at Simon Fraser University, and holds a Ph.D. in History from the SOAS University of London (2017). He has worked as an Associate Research Fellow in the Department of History at Sun Yat-sen University, and lectured at Simon Fraser University, Trinity Western University, and The University of Hong Kong.
