In this workshop, participants will explore the traditional herringbone stitch, an ancient embroidery and quilting technique recognized for its distinctive pattern resembling the backbone of a herring fish. Over centuries, the stitch has evolved from a practical method of reinforcing seams into a beautiful decorative element used in textile arts around the world. Participants will learn the basics of this versatile technique while creating their own stitched design.

What to Bring to the Workshop

A workshop kit will be provided and includes a prepared mug mat project ready for stitching, complete with backing and batting. Please note that kit designs and colours will vary.
