Moving between object theatre, installation, and performance art, Harsh Weather begins quietly, with two performers enacting a gestureand movement score followed by a deliciously mesmerizingengagement with a noisy, enveloping white tarp – which evokesglaciers and construction sites, thunderheads and mountains, emergency materials and makeshift shelter. The first show in our brand new Presentation Series, was first presented as a work-in-development in 2025, firstas part of Page1 Theatre’s OutFest (Atlantic Canada’s largest queertheatre festival) then at Kinetic Studio (a dance-focused open studioseries) and finally in a visual art context at ARTSPlace gallery. Harsh Weather grew from ourpersonal reactions to the waysclimate impacts are experiencedcollectively. We are two people who - like many- have been in some form ofecological grief our entire lives. The work is at times solemn, comedic, haunting, and curious. Created, & Performed by l Coral Maloney & Colleen Arcturus MacIsaacComposer, & Sound designer l Jackson Fairfax-PerryLighting designer l Matthew DowneyChoreographer & Movement coach / outside eye l Liliona Quarmyne Photographer l Kevin MacCormack
