Discover the quiet, complex world of lichens up close. In this introductory session, you&rsquo;ll learn the basics of lichen morphology, anatomy, ecology, and identification, and gain first hand experience surveying for lichen species at risk.&nbsp; Guided by Natural History Field School educators, you&rsquo;ll collect and examine real specimens, practice both field and laboratory identification methods, and explore how these small organisms help us read the story of our environment. This program supports our mission to build curiosity and everyday care for the natural world.
