Lamp Weaving Explorations

LXCL:This ticket is supported by volunteer time for administrative work.

Join us for an exploration of how woven forms play with light, cast shadows and direct light. We will have a bounty of material on hand to create rigid formwork and soft basketry, such as daylily, willow, ivy and iris.. Playing with transparency, translucency, pattern and texture we will each create our own lampshades. Different fixture light sources (pendant, table, sconce) will be on hand for participants to play with how the woven form becomes a lamp. Participants are also welcome to bring their own fixture if they have a particular project in mind.Instructors: Carla Frenkel and Sandra Van der Schaaf
