Edmonton Raga Mala Music Society presents an evening of Hindustani classical music with three of India's leading musicians, together on one stage. Vidushi Mita Nag (Sitar) is known for her expressive, deeply melodic sitar playing. She carries forward a respected family tradition of the instrument. Pandit Partho Sarathi (Sarod) is one of today's leading sarod players. His playing is known for its depth and tonal richness, and for staying true to the classical tradition. Pandit Subhen Chatterjee (Tabla) is a celebrated tabla player. He is known for his sensitive accompaniment and his dazzling rhythmic work. Legacy brings sitar and sarod together with tabla. It celebrates the lineages these artists have inherited and the living tradition they carry forward. Whether you've followed Hindustani music for years or this is your first concert, it will be an evening to remember.
