This event will be led by our six Writers-in-Residence known as the MAZA Arts Collective. MAZA's post-diasporic South Asian voice aims to disrupt monoliths while building relationships across a vast and nuanced cultural experience. Using choral voices, choreography, and music, we turn our queer, trans, and disabled narratives gold. MAZA Arts Collective features six spoken word poets Cassandra Myers, Qurat Dar, Namitha Rathinappillai, Anjalica Solomon, Franz Seachel and Kiranjit Shoker. They come from across Turtle Island of varying lineages within the region of South Asia (India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka).
