Overview: LivingWorks safeTALK is a half-day suicide alertness training that helps participants recognize when someone may be having thoughts of suicide and connect them to appropriate, life-saving support. Who Should Attend? safeTALK is open to anyone aged 15 years and older who wants to play a role in suicide prevention. It is especially relevant for front-line workers, volunteers, parents, youth, and educators. What Will You Learn? In LivingWorks safeTALK, you will learn to identify signs that someone may be thinking about suicide and how to respond using the TALK steps (Tell, Ask, Listen, and KeepSafe). The training focuses on helping you confidently connect individuals in need with someone trained in suicide first-aid, ensuring they receive the support they need. How Will You Learn? We aim to provide a supportive and engaging learning environment. While the topic can be challenging, it prepares participants to respond with confidence and compassion in real-life situations. Please Note safeTALK is open to anyone 15 years and older.
