Join us for our third&nbsp;meet-up, &quot;Youth Storytelling Project&quot; - a creative community space where youth come together to share their experiences, express what they love about their community, and things they would love to see improved. Youth will get to express their thoughts through art, mapping, photography, and storytelling, and it will all be tied together by a collaborative mural made out of puzzle pieces created by the youth! Participants will explore their voices and strengthen their sense of belonging. Recap:&nbsp;In our&nbsp;first meet-up, we connected, shared ideas, and began exploring storytelling through photos, art, and writing. In our second meet-up, we came up with our game plan, and the youth were given the task to come up with a place that&#39;s important to them, and come up with a rough draft so we can get started on our mural! In our third meet-up, we&#39;ll get started on our puzzle pieces, as well as discuss things in our community we think could be improved, and then finding out how we can integrate that into our mural. If there is time, we will start to discuss and plan what the Community Showcase will look like in April! 🗓 Date: Saturday, January 17th, 2026 📍 Location: Fruitvale Village Council Chambers (1947 Beaver St.) 🕠 Time: 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM (doors open at 2:40) Snacks and drinks will be provided. All supplies and cameras are available - just let us know if you need anything! Transportation support is also available if needed - fill out the questionnaire. City bus transportation arrives at 2:40pm at the Fruitvale Village Office. (we will open early for those that need it!) This project will continue with monthly sessions in January, February, and March, leading up to a Community Showcase in April 2026, where everyone&rsquo;s stories, photos, and artwork will be celebrated and displayed. We can&rsquo;t wait to see you again (or for the first time) and continue this creative journey together!
