On Friday 6 February 2026 at around 23:30, Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service attended a major commercial building fire on Waterloo Road in Blackpool, with 15 fire engines responding. Road closures were put in place and the public were asked to avoid the area while emergency services worked at the scene. This fundraiser is for everyone affected &mdash; local staff and volunteers, families who rely on these services, and the wider community impacted by the disruption and loss. Two much-loved community spaces directly affected include Smart Mart (and Smart Play) and South Shore Pitstop Community Caf&eacute;. Where donations will go: All donations will be used to support recovery costs and practical needs immediately arising from the fire, and any additional funds raised will be split between Smart Mart and South Shore Pitstop Community Caf&eacute; to help them rebuild and continue serving the community.
