At Thread & Butter Collective, we believe a building is only as strong as the stories it holds. Our mission is to restore the historic Weaving Shed at Woodend Mill—not as a monument to Mossley’s industrial past, but a vibrant engine for its future.

Join us at Woodend Mill for a beautifully held Summer Solstice &mdash; a day of movement, stillness, sound and connection, set within the mill&rsquo;s hidden green space. Step out of the everyday and into something slower, more grounded, and shared. From welcoming the morning light to gently closing the day with rhythm and sound, this is an opportunity to pause, reconnect, and be part of something meaningful. Whether you join us for a single session or spend the whole day with us, you will be part of a unique moment in a place that is being brought back to life. All proceeds support the restoration of the historic Weaving Shed at Woodend Mill. Spaces are limited to keep the experience intimate. Midsummer Long Table Lunch (from 12 noon)- A long-table, nourishing plant-based lunch (pre-booking recommended)&nbsp;THE SOLSTICE GARDEN (12:30 &ndash; 15:30)&nbsp;Between sessions, the site will open as a relaxed, welcoming space.&nbsp;You are welcome to stay, return, or simply drop in.&nbsp;- Family-friendly &ldquo;Little Solstice&rdquo; activities- Open space to sit, connect and enjoy the atmosphere&nbsp;This is the heart of the day &mdash; informal, social, and open to all.&nbsp;Spaces are limited to keep the experience intimate.&nbsp;WHO IT&rsquo;S FOR&nbsp;This day is open to everyone.&nbsp;No experience is needed &mdash; just a willingness to take part, slow down, and enjoy being present.&nbsp;Whether you come alone or with friends, you will be welcomed.&nbsp;ABOUT WOODEND MILL&nbsp;Woodend Mill is home to a growing community of artists, makers and independent practitioners.&nbsp;This event is part of a wider effort to restore the historic Weaving Shed &mdash; transforming it into a permanent space for creativity, heritage and community activity.&nbsp;By attending, you are directly supporting that vision.
