Yate Rugby Club is proud to be hosting a dedicated fundraising event in support of the Bristol Bears Foundation, an organisation whose impact across our region continues to be both profound and far‑reaching. As the official charity of Bristol Bears, the Foundation delivers high‑quality community programmes that inspire participation, promote wellbeing, and create meaningful opportunities for young people from all backgrounds.Our club has developed a strong and valued relationship with the Bristol Bears Foundation over recent years. Their coaching team has generously provided our players with professional, engaging, and aspirational training sessions that have contributed significantly to the development of our youth pathway. This partnership has not only strengthened our coaching provision but has also opened doors for our young athletes, several of whom will soon be attending Bristol Bears Academy trials &mdash; an exciting milestone made possible through the Foundation&rsquo;s continued support and commitment to grassroots rugby.To celebrate this partnership and raise vital funds for the Foundation&rsquo;s ongoing work, Yate Rugby Club is hosting a T1 Touch Rugby Competition. This event brings together teams from Kingswood RFC, Whitehall RFC, Yate RFC, our club sponsor Changing Social, and the Bristol Bears Foundation coaching team. The competition represents the very best of community rugby: collaboration, camaraderie, and a shared passion for creating positive sporting experiences for all.As part of the day&rsquo;s fundraising efforts, we are also delighted to be running a silent auction, featuring a selection of prizes generously donated by the Bristol Bears Foundation. Their contribution reflects not only their support for our event, but also their wider commitment to empowering local clubs and helping them thrive.This fundraiser is more than a sporting occasion &mdash; it is a celebration of partnership, community spirit, and the belief that rugby can be a powerful force for good.
