Young Makers Sessions introduce young people to the basics of metalwork in a safe, supervised workshop 🔧. Guided by experienced staff and volunteers, participants learn how to handle tools, follow safety steps, and complete simple welded projects. By joining, your young person gains practical skills, confidence, and a sense of achievement that supports Forge and Equip&#39;s mission to build resilience and positive contributions to the community through hands-on learning 📚. Sessions are limited to 2 people at a time to ensure we give adequate attention to our learners.&nbsp; We ask parents/guardians to please complete the online form to which you will receive a link in your booking confirmation.&nbsp; Zeffy will offer you a chance to contribute to this booking platform if you so wish but there is no need from our side to do that.

We usually tell people to head for the Bostock Bakery, East Linton but take the track road across from the entrance to the bakery car park. You will see the old steading building straight ahead. Follow the track to the left and you will see a more modern building with flat, red roof. Feel free to park in front of or behind the entrance to that building and we will be looking out for you. The workshop is 1 minute from the X7 bus route and a 10 minute walk from East Linton train station. We are looking forward to welcoming you and will be pleased to answer any questions you may have in the meantime. I only work part-time, flexible hours but I aim to reply to queries within 48 hours.
