Lace up for our Sutton Summer Colour Run 🏃‍♀️🌈Join families, friends, and staff for a fun, paint-splattered dash around the school field. Every ticket helps Friends of Sutton Academy (FoSA) support extra resources and experiences for our children at Sutton Primary Academy. All ages welcome – run, jog, or walk at your own pace. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting colourful, ideally a light coloured T-shirt to make your own keep sake! Bring your energy, and enjoy a bright afternoon of school spirit together. Along the route, you’ll pass through exciting colour stations where you’ll be showered in bright, non-toxic powder, turning you into a moving masterpiece by the time you cross the finish line! Expect high-energy music and a buzzing atmosphere. We will be sending out sponsorship forms to all children at school with a minimum suggested sponsorship of £10.00 per entry.  There will be a prize for the class who are able to raise the most! 🌈 Come dressed in white, leave as a rainbow! Secure your ticket now and be part of the most colourful day of the year. 🌈 TERMS AND CONDITIONS EVENT DETAILS 1. Your aim will be to run as many laps of the path as you would like, at your own pace, around the school field until the claxon sounds (approx 20 mins), and on passing through each colour station, you will get coloured powder thrown at your t-shirt by the end of your race you should be as colourful as a rainbow and you will get a medal to show to all your friends and family. Spectators are free. 2. The event takes place at Sutton Primary Academy School, Bayley Way, Sutton St Nicholas, Hereford, HR1 3SZ.  Limited free parking is available, please walk or car share where possible, please park responsibly around the village.   3. Free entry to the Summer Fayre beforehand, if you are not attending this please arrive 15 minutes before the start (4:00pm) to ensure you're ready. Please come to the colour run warm up area for our start at 4:15pm, There will be a fun warm-up with some groovy tunes, a powder release giving you the chance to throw powder at your friends and family before you run, with participants being set off on the course at 4:30pm. 4. All participants can collect a pair of sunglasses and one sachet of coloured paint before the event (dates and times for collection will be advertised the week before the event). 5. Depending on numbers we may stagger runners and walkers to avoid congestion on the route. 6. This is a family friendly event, but not suitable for pushchairs or animals, sorry.  7.Children 7 and under will need to be accompanied by an adult during the race.  Any children 8 and over, will need to be supervised by their responsible adult.  8.There will be refreshments available on the day, but please do bring water and wear appropriate footwear. POWDERED PAINT  1. The coloured powder to be thrown on the day is safe and non-toxic. However, protective measures such as wearing a mask and goggles/sunglasses or similar, to protect the eyes and avoid inhaling excessive quantities are recommended. Tie hair back wherever possible and protect with a bandana, cap, or shower cap. Bleached hair can be more porous and discolouration may occur. The colour is usually washed away with a shower after the event. In cases of heavy powdering don’t worry if it doesn’t come out straight away! The temporary colouration of hair and skin can happen, and repeat washing may be necessary. 2. Anyone prone to skin allergies/conditions, asthma, or respiratory conditions is advised to consult their GP as to whether it is appropriate for them to take part. A sample of the coloured paint can be provided on request. 3. Friends of Sutton Academy and Sutton Primary Academy is not responsible for the staining of clothing. 4.  FoSA also suggest that your transport is protected from the paint powder. For example, covering car seats in plastic or a bin bag to avoid participants’ cars becoming covered in powder paint. 5. It is requested that participants avoid throwing paint close to vehicles and technical equipment. 6. Event participants bring mobiles phones and other technical equipment at their own risk.  Friends of Sutton Academy and Sutton Primary Academy cannot take responsibility for any damage to personal items. SAFETY 1. This is not a competitive race and the terrain will be grass and concrete paths.  2. Please run, jog or walk to suit your fitness level and capability, there is no rush. 3. Please abide by any instructions given by staff or volunteers for your own safety, or that of other participants and spectators, in particular do not throw powder paint into people’s faces. 4. Spectators are welcome and will be advised on the day where they are able to view the course from. 5. If you are unable to complete the course or feel unwell at any point, please inform a volunteer or staff member to get assistance. 6. The Colour Run involves a level of sustained physical activity. Participants make the decision to take part and must be satisfied that this activity is suitable for them as individuals. Neither Friends of Sutton Academy and Sutton Primary Academy nor its affiliates can be held accountable for aggravation to illness or injury sustained due to participation in this activity. Participants are recommended to seek advice from their medical practitioner/GP prior to taking part in this event and make provisions to ensure their safe participation. First aid provision will be available during the event. 7. Participants are asked to wear appropriate sportswear and trainers for the event and remove jewellery and any sharp objects which could cause harm to other participants. Sunglasses will be provided for protection to your eyes, however these do not provide 'wrap around' protection so you may prefer to wear goggles/swimming goggles. If you wish to wear a mask please bring this with you on the day and we advise tying up long hair.   8. Refreshments will be provided to purchase. You may wish to bring a refillable water bottle. We will NOT be providing water bottles on route. Alcohol is not permitted on site.  9. By taking part, all participants confirm that they are happy for their names and any footage or photographs taken during the event to be used to publicise or report on the Colour Run. Should special dispensation be required, it is the responsibility of the participants to inform Friends of Sutton Academy of such requirements. 10. Friends of Sutton Academy has the right to cancel or amend this event if there are any concerns to participants’ safety. 11. Friends of Sutton Academy reserves the right to update its terms and conditions in relation to this event at any time prior to the event. All participants will be provided with any updated terms and conditions in advance of the event or on the day of the event. SPECTATORS 1. We welcome family and friends to support participants. However, powdered paint will travel so please choose your clothing carefully and listen to staff and volunteers giving instructions on where spectators can go to view their family and friends.
