You will be guided to connect creatively with the geology and local heritage as we follow the coastal path from Porth Amlwch to the historic holy well, Ffynnon Eilian. Our leisurely pace with regular stops will give us the time and space to observe and experience our surroundings. Trustee of GeoM&ocirc;n and geologist Maia Whomsley-Walker will share the story of how time and geological forces have shaped the land around us, as well as what it means to think and see geologically. Artist and Eco-Therapist Caroline Schofield from Guided by Nature will guide us in connecting with our environment and the elements through our senses. You will receive artistic prompts and ideas about how to make expressive field notes, letting the rhythm of the earth guide your hand to make unfiltered marks on paper. You do not need to be an artist, but you will need to bring your own sketch book plus a few basic art materials of your choice (such as pencils, charcoal stick or pastels). Please note that this event is run in English, although Maia speaks Welsh and would be happy to chat and translate as needed!
