A group of children sit on a black tarp in a grassy field while a woman reads to them, with lush green trees and a distant bridge in the background.

This fall, The Douglass Ridley School opened in Boston's Longwood neighborhood with our first class of kindergartners. They spend their days outside, asking questions, and building their way to answers. We're raising $20,000 in 20 days, from November 12 to December 1, to carry the school through the winter. Our board is matching gifts up to $6,000, so every dollar goes twice as far. Our kids are pitching in too. They're walking 200,000 steps to the Muddy River and around the neighborhood, and you can sponsor one of their walks on the River Walk page. Thank you for helping us build this school.
