HELP US RAISE $2,000 FOR HALAL MEAT FOR REFUGEE FAMILIESDFWROS is asking our community to come together to help families who are struggling to put food on their tables.Due to recent SNAP changes and restrictions, many of the refugee families we serve have lost or are at risk of losing food assistance. Families are struggling to afford basic groceries such as rice, oil, flour, milk, and vegetables &mdash; let alone halal meat.DFWROS currently serves 510 refugee families, and the need for food assistance continues to grow.This is an outcry to our community.We are blessed to live in a community where many of us can give $5, $10, $20, or more without it creating a hardship for our own families. But when hundreds of people give together, those small donations can put halal meat on the tables of families who otherwise may go without.OUR GOAL: $2,000 FOR HALAL MEATThe funds raised will go toward purchasing halal meat for families through DFWROS food assistance and distributions.Even more importantly, we are asking our community to consider making this monthly:$5/month = $60 a year $10/month = $120 a year 100 people giving $10 = $1,000 toward halal meatImagine what we could accomplish if our community made sure these families had access to halal meat every month.You do not have to give a lot.
